Training sessions & Workshops
Sound avalanche training is extremely important in the mountains in winter. You can find further information on our training centers, Snow & Safety Workshops and avalanche courses here.
Avalanche Training Center
Off-piste skiers, ski-tourers, snowshoe hikers and other interested parties can now practice the correct use of avalanche transceivers in realistic conditions! The training facility is self-explanatory. The training grounds have many buried avalanche transceiver transmitters, which thanks to their long battery life, can remain in the snow the whole year round. The transmitters can be activated by radio command from a control center.
As in the case of an avalanche, those on the training course do not know where the transmitter is. The electronic system also means that it is possible to activate one or more transmitters on a random basis. Unlike in reality, the transmitters are not excavated after precise location. The final location takes place using an avalanche probe. The transmitters are in plastic containers with defined sensor areas and a system for automatic feedback in the event of location.
