Everything you need out in the snow with the Mammut Safety Package
Powder descents guarantee top emotions, but they also involve risks. Avoiding accidents and ensuring rapid rescue, these are the top priorities of the alpine specialist Mammut. The Avalanche Safety Package includes a complete set of avalanche safety equipment for freeriders and tourers. Ensuring you are fully equipped for a perfect powder day.
From the central Alps to Alaska or Hokkaido, anyone who ventures off prepared trails in winter needs a complete set of avalanche safety equipment. Thanks to Mammut, this is very easy to get hold of. The Avalanche Safety Package includes everything you need to be fully equipped for an avalanche if an emergency arises: avalanche airbag, avalanche transceiver, avalanche probe and avalanche shovel.
Mammut Ride R.A.S.
The Mammut Ride R.A.S. is a backpack with a removable avalanche airbag, designed to help keep the wearer on the surface of the avalanche in an emergency situation. After deployment, the airbag inflates in three seconds to its full volume of 150 liters. The backpack is also very comfortable to carry. The Removable Airbag System (R.A.S.) can be removed from the backpack with just a few maneuvers and installed in a larger or smaller backpack from the R.A.S-ready range.
Mammut ELEMENT Barryvox
If is not possible to prevent burial by an avalanche, the immediate rescue of those affected is top priority. Avalanche transceivers help to reliably locate buried subjects. In tests, the digital 3-antenna LVS ELEMENT Barryvox has consistently been a top performer. It is distinguished by its extremely simple operation and clear instructions.
Probe and avalanche shovel
Probes and snow shovels are used to pinpoint and rescue buried subjects. The Probe Light lightweight avalanche probe is safe and easy to use, even when wearing gloves, while the small and compact Alugator Light avalanche shovel, with a blade made from hardened and anodized aluminum, reduces packing volume to a minimum.
The ability to deal with the stressful aftermath of an avalanche, to operate an avalanche transceiver efficiently and correctly, and the physical fitness to be able to quickly dig out a victim are decisive factors. Regular practice under expert guidance is therefore very important. With the Mammut Alpine School, the Swiss mountain sports specialist has succeeded in creating a platform tailored precisely to this need. Mountain guides instruct participants in the correct use of safety equipment in alpine terrain. Mammut also offers a fun on-screen learning program at www.MAMMUT.ch/barryvoxtraining.
