The extremely robust MTR Remote weighs just 635 grams a pair, yet it packs a wealth of innovative technology. The entire shaft is fashioned from one material, which cuts down on the need for seams. The result of this perforated single-shell design is enhanced strength due to the reduction in surfaces, and a lower weight. An EVA Superlight wedge encased in protective Kevlar provides the necessary damping. It takes just one movement to tie the boot, thanks to the Speed Lacing concept. The laces are stored out of the way in the ingenious pouch integrated into the tongue.

The interior lining consists of several layers of microfiber textile featuring a honeycomb-like structure; this has a cushioning effect and adapts to the shape of the foot. Mammut's Foot Mapping system divides the foot into three zones: prone to sweating, cold-sensitive and pressure-sensitive. As a result, the boot has cooling, warming and cushioning slip and nonslip lining materials in all the right places.

Developed from the proven Reptilia profile sole, the grippy Iguana sole emphasizes the light, fast and aggressive nature of the boot. The gaps between the studs mean little stones quickly fall away. A climbing zone in the toe area provides enhanced stability on smooth terrain. In sum, the Mammut MTR Remote is for people who prefer fast footwork in rocky and alpine environments.
