PULSE firmware

PULSE Firmware with two user profiles [Basic / Advanced]

The PULSE firmware implements the following functions in addition to the existing basic functions of the firmware 3.0, which remain unchanged.

PULSE Firmware 3.2

  • Acoustic search guidance
  • Rescue-SEND
  • Lithium battery mode
  • LCD contrast setting

Acoustic search guidance
Acoustic search guidance assists the user during the search phase by means of a patented tone sequence that increases in volume and frequency depending on the distance and direction from the buried device.

Rescue-SEND
As a NEW feature, rescuers who are not involved in the active search can now set their device to “sleep mode”.

When “Rescue-SEND” mode is activated, the device does not transmit any 457 kHz signal and therefore does not disturb the searchers on the avalanche deposit – if no movement is detected after 4 minutes by the movement sensor, the device automatically switches back to “Send” mode.

For helpers who are not working in “SEARCH” mode with their device, in the event of a subsequent avalanche, the “Rescue-SEND” function ensures that the device transmits again and the victims can be located.

LCD contrast setting
This allows the user to adjust the device display to the prevailing light conditions in the area.

Lithium battery mode
The PULSE firmware now allows you to use lithium batteries as the energy source in the PULSE Barryvox. Lithium batteries discharge better at low temperatures and have a longer battery life.
