Why do women feel the cold more than men?

It has been proven that women and girls feel the cold more and faster. There are some reasons for this:

• women are "thinner-skinned". Their skin reacts to cold far faster. If a man and a woman run alongside each other on a cold winter's day, you can assume that the temperature of the woman's skin will generally be around 3 degrees Celsius lower than that of the man. Background: a man's epidermis is around 15% thicker. This provides good protection against heat loss. Cold constricts the blood vessels in the skin. Blood flow is reduced and the body temperature falls. This process occurs faster with thinner skin.
• The more muscles a person has, the better their metabolism works and therefore the more effective the heat generation process. And this is precisely where women are at a disadvantage. Statistically speaking, the male body consists of 40% muscle and just 10% fat. Women have just 25% muscle and 25% fat. While fat provides insulation against the cold, it is the muscles that generate heat. The fact that today's women are slimmer means that the compensating insulation from the higher fat proportion is lost.
• During pregnancy, the body works to keep the woman's abdomen warm. When the outside temperature falls, the body draws heat from the extremities, i.e. the hands and feet. This heat is transported to the abdomen to protect it from the cold. The result is poor circulation and a cold feeling in the hands and feet.

Designed to better fit the female anatomy, it is narrower at the shoulder area and broader at the hips. The broadest area is around the elbows, improving ease of movement.

4) Construction
The thick layers of filling provide exceptional heat insulation. The foot box even has an extra layer of insulation.

5) Ergonomic Foot
The trapeze cut and the oblique angle keep feet in their natural position, guaranteeing better insulation.
