The Mammut anniversary ropes: Swiss Rope and Golden Rope

Since 1862, every Mammut rope has been produced in Switzerland. A quality management system ensures the same exceptional quality from raw materials receipt through to the finished, packaged rope. On the occasion of the company's anniversary and to commemorate how it all began, Mammut has manufactured a limited edition of special-purpose ropes, namely the 9.5 Swiss Rope and 9.5 Golden Rope.

Every single metre that is produced is checked electronically for any inconsistencies during the final control in the Swiss municipality of Seon. In our in-house test laboratory with its fall facility, we test and monitor ropes from every production batch to make sure all the relevant values are complied with. In addition, all Mammut ropes have the Bluesign certification, including, of course, the limited collector's item Mammut Swiss Rope. For Switzerland fans or for climbers who simply want their rope to differ from the crowd. With 64 g per metre, the Mammut 9.5 Swiss Rope featuring the Swiss cross is a robust sports climbing rope. The superDRY finish seals both the sheath and core and offers effective and long-lasting protection against abrasion, dirt and moisture.

The Mammut 9.5 Golden Rope, also a limited edition, is a guaranteed eye-catcher at every climbing spot. The golden version of the proven Mammut Infinity is a very lightweight single rope with a small diameter and optimal performance thanks to the COATINGfinish. During the COATINGfinish process, the individual threads of the rope receive a Teflon coating. This reduces friction between the threads and thus improves the sliding properties. The load is distributed more evenly to all threads meaning that the rope can withstand higher loads. An additional advantage is the dirt and water resistance.
