Mammut MTR React GTX
Fast, lightweight and alpine – the Mammut MTR React GTX
The GORE-TEX version of this Mammut mountain trail runner is brimming with innovative technology. The Mammut MTR React is designed for active trail runners who like to engage in their hobby even in winter. As a lightweight multi-functional shoe, it can be used for running on diverse and alpine terrain.
Despite the light weight of only 635 grams of the pair of very robust MTR React GTX shoes, they are simply brimming with innovative technology: The entire shaft is made of a single material and therefore has very few seams. The result of this perforated single shell construction is greater robustness thanks to the lower number of contact surfaces and a reduced overall weight. Cushioning is provided by an EVA Superlight wedge whose outer surface is provided with a protective Kevlar covering. Lacing is performed by a single pull using the Speed Lacing system. The laces are then hidden in a clever, space-saving lacing garage and thus cannot get in the way when running.
The lining of the lightweight shoes consists of several layers of micro-fibre fabric with a honeycomb-shaped basic structure which creates a cushioning and shape-supporting effect. The Mammut Foot Mapping system divides the foot into three different zones: sweating, freezing and pressure-sensitive. Padded, warming, cooling, sliding and adhesive lining materials are then incorporated at the appropriate places. In addition, the Gore-Tex Extended Comfort Footwear Membrane prevents feet from becoming wet without having any significant effect on the climate in the shoe.
The gripex Iguana sole, an advanced version of the proven Reptilia sole, emphasises the shoe's orientation towards lightweightness, speed and toughness. And because the ribs are spaced far apart, small stones cannot get caught in the sole. A Climbing Zone in the toe area provides for the necessary grip on slippery surfaces. If you enjoy running on rocky and alpine terrain, don't miss out on giving the Mammut MTR React GTX a try.
