The extremely robust and abrasion-resistant full-stretch 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell sets new standards for activities in high alpine terrain. The snow skirt has been designed specifically according to the female figure. The conical cut and the ability to join it to the pants mean that the snow skirt always returns to its original position and thus constantly covers the cold-sensitive zones of the mountaineer. For the woman mountaineer this has the advantage that her kidneys are well protected against the cold and that snow can no longer slip into the jacket. The new expandable hood system with horizontal and vertical elastic bands allows for optimum adjustment to the head with or without a helmet. The visor has been reinforced to withstand even strong gusts of wind. The front-reach sleeves have been specially designed for arm movements typical to climbing. As a result, the jacket does not slip upwards when lifting your arms. To prevent water from running into the sleeve when reaching up, the adjustable cuffs feature a Velcro deflection system that allows adjustment with one hand. The underarm vents have been brought forward slightly and are thus more easily accessible.

The Mammut Mittellegi Pants are made of the same robust, abrasion-resistant full-stretch 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell fabric as the jacket. The slightly higher waistband with the regulating Coolmax moisture management system transports water efficiently to the outside. This ensures that no condensation builds up on the inside of the waistband. The waistband can be easily fitted to the waist from the outside. A special feature is the continuous dropseat zip which significantly simplifies going to the toilet – something that used to be rather awkward. If left half open, it can also be used for ventilation. On the lower legs, the snow skirt can be individually adapted to ski or alpine boots. Reinforced seam edges and crampon protection made of schoeller Keptrotech and detachable braces with an especially flat closure system round off the ultra-functional pants and make them the ideal counterpart to the Mammut Nordwand jacket.
