On a long strenuous climb, weight and breathability are major issues to consider when choosing your clothing. The Mammut Felsturm Jacket has been designed with exactly this in mind. Constructed from Gore-Tex Active Shell fabric and incorporating innovations such as YKK’s latest zipper spiral, the design is focused on minimizing weight and packing volume whilst maximizing breathability and performance.

The zipper spiral, newly developed in by YKK and implemented on Mammut’s chosen fabrics, is one of the big innovations in terms of workmanship; in that it is attached directly to the outer material. This cutting-edge approach saves weight and avoids unnecessary tapes and lots of perforated seams which would require sealing. Thanks to its design, this exclusive zipper is extremely easy to use and so flexible you hardly notice it is there. To save additional weight the jacket has been designed with only a half zip. For the mountaineer, this offers the added benefit of making the jacket smaller and easier to compress for packing. The front access pit zips are positioned for optimized usability and temperature regulation whilst the front reach sleeves and elastics at the hems are ergonomically tailored to climbing movements.

Produced in signal colours, for optimized visibility in the mountains, the Gore-Tex Active Shell laminate is ideal for highly aerobic, done in a day activities.
