At the Boulder World Cup in Eindhoven on 25 and 26 June 2010, the Mammut athletes Anna Stöhr and Juliane Wurm made a strong start, taking first and second place. Her second victory in a week put Anna Stöhr at the top of the Boulder World Cup overall rankings.

The Swiss family Schwörer and their companions on the Mammut-sponsored TOPtoTOP Global Climate Expedition have successfully completed their project to clean up Everest Base Camp. Unfortunately, expedition leader Dario Schwörer didn’t manage to reach the summit of the “Roof of the World”.

Mammut athlete Cédric Lachat has celebrated his latest success in Sardinia. He has climbed the famous “Hotel Supramonte” multi-rope length route (8b, 10 pitches). Following directly after his good performance at the Boulder World Cup in Greifensee (4th place), this strenuous climb proved something of an ordeal.

David Lama and his climbing partner put themselves to the test at Monte Brento in Italy with 28 pitches at the highest difficulty grading. The majority of the difficulties were in the final pitches: 8a+, 6a, 7b, 7b, 8a+, 8a+ and 8a+. It took everything to the two climbers had to conquer the route!

Christian Stangl has succeeded in conquering the 5,959 metre Mount Logan in North America. This is the 12th summit in his new 14 "7 summits" project. By the end of the year, he aims to have climbed the two highest summits in each continent as a day tour.

At the end of April 2010, over a period of five days Mammut athlete Jakob Schubert climbed several routes in Spain with difficulty ratings from 8a+ to 8c+. Read the report of his achievements here.

In 2010, the Challenge the Wall Tour once again attracted many climbing enthusiasts to the climbing halls of Europe. Here you can watch a live recording of the tour's stop at the Gaswerk climbing centre in Zurich, Switzerland.

The first Boulder World Cup of the 2010 season took place on 14 and 15 May in the Milandia climbing centre in Switzerland. Mammut athlete Alex Johnson (USA) showed top form in the new outdoor bouldering area, winning the competition.

2 summits x 7 continents = 14 “7 summits”. Following Christian Stangl’s unbelievable record in scaling the seven highest continental peaks as day excursions in skyrunning style, he has now reached the final stage of his latest challenge. Stangl has set out to climb the second highest peak on each continent as well.

Over the last few weeks, the group involved in the TOPtoTOP expedition supported by Mammut has completed a trek from Lukla (Nepal) to Mount Everest Base Camp and filled several sacks with carelessly discarded rubbish.
