Mammut eliminates all 4 major disadvantages of existing ventilated air space suspension systems: accumulation of rising hot air around the shoulder blades, very close to the body at the shoulder and pelvic area, resulting in uneven ventilation. Very large gap between the back system and the middle of the back, moving the balance point very far from the body. The curved shape of the backpack made it difficult to fill.

The traditional curved shape of air space suspension systems has been eliminated, making it far easier to fill. - M-frame
