About Christine Balaz
Christine grew up in Bozeman, Montana and started climbing there in 1999, just before moving to New Hampshire to get a real fancy college edumication. There she lived exactly 43 miles from Rumney and climbed there whenever the rain would stop and/or the snow was less than three feet deep. After finishing college, she made a beeline to Salt Lake City, to see what all the fuss was about. Utah's climbing access and community has more-than-exceeded her expectations. She has since been curating a life and career such that they interfere as little with bluff-scaling as possible. Christine currently works as a private tutor and has written two travel books (on Utah), and is working on a third.
