Mammut Anniversary Basecamp

The Mammut Anniversary Basecamp took place in August 2011! Over a period of one week, a range of events was held in the biggest base camp ever, with around 150 tents at an altitude of 3,471 metres on the Jungfraujoch.

Starting shot for the 150 summit tours

The starting shot for the Mammut Peak Project took place during the Mammut Anniversary Basecamp with the starlight ascent of the Jungfrau. This famous mountain in the Bernese Oberland was first climbed 200 years ago. A good enough reason for Mammut to make this peak the official first summit in the biggest peak project in history.

Mountain guide training

The Mammut Anniversary Basecamp was also an opportunity for Mammut to welcome to the Jungfraujoch the mountain guides who will be accompanying the 150 anniversary tours. The IFMGA mountain guides received training from the Mammut Alpine School to become official Peaks Project mountain guides. These mountain guides will accompany all the summit teams safely to their peaks!

Basecamp Testevent

Another Mammut Testevent also took place at the Mammut Anniversary Basecamp, with the photo shoot for the key visual for winter 2012/2013. Almost 200 Mammut fans had the unique opportunity to take part in this exceptional event!
